Downtown Franklin, Tennessee, offers the perfect setting for senior photos, engagement pictures, and family photos. With a charming semi-urban feel, this little town is a great place for photo sessions. I'm a local photographer, and want to tell you why downtown Franklin is one of my favorite places for photo sessions.
Franklin Has Great Photography Backgrounds
There is so much variety in backdrops for photos in Franklin. The sidewalks are lined with storefronts that all have a different look to them. There's cute flower baskets, pops of color, more muted scenes, some modern looks and some more historic spots.
One of the best backgrounds is the historic Franklin Theater. The glowing lights and old-time style are such a fun place to take photos in front of. As a photographer, I love shooting in Franklin, because there are so many spots to choose from that can cater to any clients style preferences.
Franklin's Southern Charm
If you've ever dreamed of a photo shoot in a charming town, downtown Franklin is the place for you. The town is brimming with quaint shops, vintage storefronts, and unique landmarks that provide the perfect setting for your photos. A great perk about having a photography session in downtown Franklin, is that we're just a short distance away from other fantastic locations. You could easily spend an hour taking photos here with all the variety. But if you wanted to mix things up, there a couple amazing alternatives just 5 minutes away.
Harlinsdale Farm is one of my all-time favorite locations and it's just down the road. Harlinsdale offers a picturesque outdoor setting with barns, white fences, historic buildings, and beautiful fields. If you can't decide between a urban and nature photos, a good idea is to split your shoot between downtown Franklin and Harlinsdale Farm.
The Factory at Franklin is a very unique location with the historic factory look. The factory has been around for decades and still highlights it's past roots as a fully functioning stove manufacturing site. Both inside and outside of the building are some really interesting places to take pictures.
